About the role
As a Mechatronics Engineer at Westmag, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and integrating electromechanical systems for drone motors and robotic actuators. You will collaborate closely with design, test, and manufacturing teams to optimize product performance and ensure system reliability. This position requires a blend of mechanical, electrical, and software engineering skills to innovate and improve Westmag's cutting-edge motor and actuator technologies.
Responsibilities
Design and develop mechatronic components and systems for drone motors and robot actuators.
Integrate electrical, mechanical, and software subsystems to deliver optimized product solutions.
Collaborate cross-functionally with design, test, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless product integration.
Develop test plans, conduct performance analysis, and iterate designs based on test results.
Support prototyping, debugging, and validation activities.
Document technical specifications, design decisions, and test results.
Stay current with emerging technologies in mechatronics to drive innovation.
Required qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
3+ years of experience in mechatronic system design and integration.
Strong knowledge of electromechanical systems, including motors and actuators.
Experience with embedded software development and hardware integration.
Proficiency in CAD software and circuit design tools.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred qualifications
Experience in drone or robotics industries.
Familiarity with motor control electronics and firmware.
Knowledge of system-level testing and validation for electromechanical devices.
